James's parents were WIlliam Robison and Mary Ann (nee Grenwell) who married in Bishop Wearmouth on 10th February 1816.
We know nothing more of James family prior to his marriage to Hannah Vawer. His marriage certificate states that he was a shipwright by occupation.
Hannah Vawer married James Robison on 18th February 1855 which was her 16th
birthday! In 1861 they were living at 11, Church Street, Bishop-Wearmouth,
Sunderland Co.Durham
Their Children were
- William Greenwell Robison: baptised 8th March 1857
- Elizabeth Robison: born 1859; died 24th April 1867
- James Vawer Robinson: baptised 25th October 1861; died 20th April 1867
- Mary Jane Robinson: born 1864;
- John Robinson: Born ? April 1866; died 21st December 1866 aged 10m.
Hannah died at the end of November 1866 and was buried on 2nd December 1866.
